Brushing Your Dog’s Teeth Can Be Fun!by Coach Lilly 1.27.15
We enjoy sharing important tips with fellow dog owners and feel that dental care is the most important thing you can do to keep your dog healthy. Many pet owners think it can be difficult to start a new routine, but your dog will get used to it quickly. Many dogs have gum issues early in their life due to lack of dental care.
The sad fact is dogs need our help to keep their teeth clean – they can’t clean them on their own. Brushing your dog’s teeth a 3-5 times a week may add several more years to your dog’s life! You may think brushing a dog’s teeth is not an easy task and most people find it too difficult to do and some people give up easily. It’s not hard at all! All you need is a pet toothbrush and pet toothpaste. The toothpaste is poultry or beef flavored and most dogs love it.
“Our boston terrier Lilly loves getting her teeth brushed every night. She waits by my side when I am brushing mine, just waiting her turn…it is so fun!”
