Have you tried taking an Agility Class with your pup?by Coach Lilly 1.27.15
Does your dog love to go to dog parks? If so, it may be time to try agility classes! Our two Boston Terriers Sophia and Lilly love it! We take them each Saturday morning and our dog trainer, Darryl Payne from Pawfection Pet Services is the leader of the pack.
Agility courses are great for dogs of all breeds and sizes. The class we take is about an hour long and will give them exercise and work their minds at the same time. With you leading them through the course, it’s a great way to spend time together.
Dog agility classes is more than a trend, it’s a way for your dog to use is natural instincts – jumping over obstacles of all sizes, going through a tire, climbing up a ramp and back down and running through a mesh tunnel. They also learn obedience techniques too – sit, wait and come. Basic commands they know, but refreshing these commands is a big plus too. It also gives them a chance to be social and hang around other pups.
So, the next time you want to do something fun with your dog, why not try an agility class? It can be a lot of fun for both you and your dog.
