Safety Tips for a Fun and Safe Halloween!

by Coach Lilly

Different sights and sounds can cause stress in a dog that is typically calm. Halloween is a fun holiday for us but your pup many not understand what’s going on outside.  DoggieNation wants to give you tips on how to keep your dog safe during the trick-or-treating frenzy!

1. Keep your blinds closed so your pups don’t see so much activity outside.

2. Keep your dogs indoors so they don’t accidentally eat candy that a kid may have dropped out of their bag.

3. If you have a dog that barks at the sound of the doorbell, disconnect it or watch for guests so the bell doesn’t ring. Remember Halloween can be scary for dogs, so be patient and watch over them!

4.  Do not give your pups candy of any kind!  Chocolate is dangerous for dogs and can be poisonous.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
